Nicole Wargo is passionate about exploring and seeks to make tourism sustainable so that future generations can continue to expand their worldview, protect the planet, and promote a more equitable world through the discovery of travel.

Nicole has earned a Master’s degree in Sustainability from Harvard University, focusing her studies on sustainable tourism. She has conducted research for Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health by studying tourism resource use in the community of Block Island, Rhode Island. This research is included in the book Handbook on Managing Nature-Based Tourism Destinations Amid Climate Change. Nicole has created sustainability strategies for New Zealand based organizations Eden Park Stadium in Auckland and Zealandia ecosanctuary in Wellington. She has mapped historic sites and promoted cultural highlights along the Lewis and Clark Historic Trail with the National Park Service. As a Fellow with Clark County, Nevada, she is directing the Southern Nevada Clean Cities Coalition by engaging with the Las Vegas community to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through alternative fuel vehicles.

With Dazzle Africa, Nicole hopes to build on the skills she has learned and offer her unique perspectives on travel with purpose. She is excited for the opportunity to strengthen resiliency within the communities of Zambia and encourage the conservation of wildlife through sustainable tourism.
